As members of the National Coordination of Young Communists, we feel compelled to denounce the serious act of damaging internal democracy and legitimacy of that body the same ruling to which we belong that we had attend Saturday September 1, at the invitation of the National Coordination in the summer camping Alternative Rebelde. National Spokespersons have decided, despite the absence of a quorum and therefore not being able, by statute, to take decisions binding for the coordination and the organization as a whole, to submit and vote on a policy document that requires a sharp acceleration in the process of aggregation of our youth structure in a broader subject. As a further breakout normal operation and a participatory and democratic party such as ours should have, in tail assembly and the vote of the agenda was called to vote on the composition (names and powers) of a "transitional Executive", without that during the meeting the coordinators had no open debate on the organic constitution, without any member of ques to give an opinion about their lines of action, his delegation and their policy proposals. An executive agency may not be elected in the absence of a quorum, with a contempt unmatched in the history of our organization towards the common rules of democracy.
Another "innovation" is meeting the week of national coordination, on a date (September 1), where workers are virtually unable to leave to ask, in a peripheral, unlike even the camps in previous years, where the coordination was convened on Saturday: we do not want this to be the yardstick of how the GC target young people secure jobs.
What happened to us is unacceptable both from a substantive point of view of method. In terms of substance, we feel great concern the contents of the document voted that by putting forward clearly in terms of the merger with FGCI and therefore distorting the planning guidelines set out just six months ago as part of the National Conference, would take at least an additional discussion in the territories. In addition, we can only condemn the absolute lack of decision proposed in the document about the relaunch of our organization and the absence of political perspectives, all in front of a political, instead, should see us in the autumn deeply involved in the conflict capital-labor, in defending the right to education in the battle against fascism.
regard to method, we can not emphasize the absolute gravity the forcing that was meant to perpetrate voting on a document of such importance and that might be "binding since tomorrow" at the behest of the coordinators, without meeting on Wednesday were sufficient members present for quorum. We regret that no formal attachment to the rules, but because the lack of respect for basic democratic principles of our organization what it is going to legitimize the authoritarian decision of a few. Yesterday we saw what was a defense of the decision "informal" and collecting nothing if not hiding bad practices that we thought had passed plebiscite in our organization, and today that seem to recur more forcefully. Thus failing to recognize any legitimacy to the decision that assembly, and wanting to protect the rules of democracy in the territories and mates, we decided to abstain from any votes that were held there.
