are priest for 23 years. I started out, as often happens, a chapel, precisely Alzano Maggiore, in the Valle Seriana. Almost always have been called to youth employment and my service has always crossed with the need to guess the younger generation the importance of the Gospel to their lives. There was a time when I thought that it was necessary to speak of man to reach first and then to introduce the basic meaning of Jesus, his life and his death. I held meetings on topics such as sexuality, politics etc.. But I noticed, in passing, that the move by young people I met in part by the fundamental dimensions of human life to the understanding of Jesus and his revelation is not taken. In the end it seemed that young people were living well without the Gospel ... the faith did not reflect the interest in self-discovery.

In recent years then, I have the impression that the way to live their faith on the part of young people (probably including those with later age) and structured moments: WYD with the Pope the pilgrimage, the particular event. However, when young people enter the same in everyday life, that of the university, for example, leave the event in memory lived and lead their lives without carrying out, at least in the community, what they have endured. Maybe they do individually, but you do not play in the community and in space and time that this provides for them ... In short, one gets the impression of a life of faith rhapsodic. Of course I say this in general, and generalizations are always generalizations. But the impression I have is that of constantly having to bear only a proposal for young people not to enter into play (except that this also happens in the university: everyone go there, do the exams, but when it comes to live all the universities back to their hut, and their own interests).

would be nice to hear what you think: why young people are not at stake? Fear? Indifference? Lack of projects and values? Too nomads to stop and enjoy an experience? Perhaps the Church and society requires incomprehensible things? They call without being able to postpone to make sense to gamble worth?
